Terms of Use

Last updated: 8 October 2026

These terms govern your use of the PatiPal app (“PatiPal”), run by Emirhan Torun, an individual (“we”). By creating an account or using the app you agree to them. How we handle your data is explained in the Privacy Policy.

1. Who can use PatiPal

You must be at least 13 years old. Your account is personal: you can't transfer it, and you are responsible for what is done with it.

2. What PatiPal is, and isn't

PatiPal lets you share animals you see on the street on a map, helps neighbors reach each other for animals in need, and includes the Pal game. The app is free and provided “as is”; we can't promise it will always work without interruption or errors, and we may change or remove features.

PatiPal is not an emergency service. For an injured or endangered animal, contact a helpline, your local animal services or a vet directly. The vet list and numbers in the app come from OpenStreetMap and public sources; we can't guarantee they are correct or up to date.

3. Content rules

You are responsible for everything you post (photos, names, notes, comments, listings). There is zero tolerance for objectionable content and abusive users. The following are not allowed:

You can report and block any post, comment or user in the app. We review reports within 24 hours. Content reported by several people may be hidden automatically until it is reviewed.

4. Your content

What you post remains yours. By posting it you give us a worldwide, free, non-exclusive permission to store it in PatiPal, show it to other users and process it technically for that (for example, resize it). This permission ends when you delete the content (apart from short-lived copies in encrypted backups). If we ever want to use your content outside the app, for example to promote PatiPal on social media, we will ask you first.

You confirm that you have the rights needed for what you post and that it doesn't infringe anyone else's rights.

5. Enforcement

We may remove or hide content that breaks these terms or the law without prior notice, and limit, suspend or close accounts that do. If you think we got a decision wrong, write to us.

6. Dealings between users

In adoptions, lost pets and rescues, users contact each other directly; PatiPal is not a party to these dealings. Never send anyone money, and be careful when sharing personal details. Choose a safe, public place to hand over an animal.

7. The Pal game

Paw coins, items and achievements in the game are virtual: they have no real-world value and can't be exchanged for money or transferred. If in-app purchases are offered in the future, they will be subject to the rules of the App Store and Google Play.

8. Intellectual property

PatiPal's name, logo, pixel art, design and software belong to us. You may not copy the app, reverse engineer it, or use it commercially without permission.

9. Limitation of liability

To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for content posted by users, for dealings and communication between users, or for indirect damage caused by interruptions of the app or loss of data. This doesn't limit liability for intent or gross negligence, or the statutory rights you have as a consumer.

10. Ending your account

You can delete your account any time in Settings → Delete account. We may close your account if you break these terms seriously or repeatedly.

11. App Store and Google Play

If you downloaded the app from the App Store, Apple's Standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement (EULA) also applies. Apple and Google are not parties to these terms and are not responsible for the app's content or support.

12. Changes

We may update these terms. We announce important changes in the app; using PatiPal after a change means you accept the new terms.

13. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Türkiye. If you live in the EU, the mandatory consumer protection rules of your country also apply, and you can bring claims in the courts where you live.
